Inspired by the ideals and philosophy of Mahatma Gandhi‘s non-violence and equal rights for all, Shishu Shorgho, a registered not-for-profit charity orphan home, was founded in 2002. It is funded by Child Haven International. We assist children and women, who are in need of food, education, health care, shelter and clothing, emotional and moral support.

One of the main unique features of this home is that children of all religious backgrounds live together side by side upholding their own culture and religious belief. Shishu Shorgho family celebrates all religious festivals and shares joys and happiness. Like always Shishu Shorgho home celebrated this Eid-ul Adha with children and staff in its own style. Muslim children attended Eid prayer with Program Officer Yakub Ali Sujon and other Muslim staff. The kitchen staff cooked delicious food. The home compound was decorated with balloons and colour papers. And a friendly fun game was arranged. Later there was a Fuchka Farty which added more excitement for children.
