Shishu Shorho distributed food relief among flood victims in Noakhola and East Gobindapur of Chatkhil Upoilla Noakhali district on 4th September 2024.
Shishu Shorho board member Vice President Nurul Amin and Treasurer Shahidul Islam were present during the relief distribution. Mr. Shahidul Islam coordinated the whole food relief program. Office staff Yakub Ali Sujon and Monirul Isalm executed relief distribution at the field level with the help of local volunteers. Mr Sahidul Islam emphasized the importance of strengthening relief efforts nationwide and ensuring that aid reaches everyone through coordinated efforts.
Shishu Shorgho distributed these food packages among 400 families. Each family received goods such as Saline, Water purification tablets, Soaps, 5kg Rice, 1kg Oil, 1kg wheat flour, 1kg Onion, half kg Lentils, half kg Salt, Milk powder, Toast biscuits, Chili powder, and Turmeric powder.
These goods were packed in the premises of Shishu Shorgho’s home. Children and staff helped in the packing process. After packing, these food relief bags were transported from Chittagong to Noakhali by two pick-up vans.
Relief operations were also conducted at the many areas of Begumganj Upazila of Noakhali.
