Shishu Shorgho Observes National Mourning Day with Due Dignity

The Shishu Shorgho Montessori School and Shishu Shorgho residential home students observed the National Mourning Day in a dignified manner. At the beginning of the program, the students and all the employees started the day’s work by singing the national anthem. Later, a Doa and Milad Mahfil was held at Shishu Shorgho premise in the memory of all the martyrs including Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on August 15.

After the Mahfil, Shishu Shorgho Montessori School teacher Farhana Afroz presented a brief biography of the father of the nation in front of all the students. She said that August 15th is the darkest day in the history of independent Bangladesh as the architect of the country’s independence and Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members were brutally gunned down by some disgruntled army men on this day in 1975. She also said that all students should take an oath to build a smart Bangladesh by concentrating on their studies.

The activities of National Mourning Day ended by distributing food among underprivileged children.
